Description:

The SGH series technology neatly transforms standard and telescopic hydraulic cylinders, as well as piston accumulators, into smart and controllable hydraulic systems. An SGH series sensor is suitable for all applications. With measuring lengths of up to 5,000 mm, a wide selection of interfaces and mechanical flexibility, our SGH family can both mechanically and electrically integrate into the widest range of applications.
Redundant options and sensors for performance levels of up to PLd are available for safety critical applications.

The SGH10L wire-actuated encoder measures the absolute direct cylinder stroke in a hydraulic cylinder. This new addition to the range can mount on the outside and conceptually offers two important features:

  • Does not increase the overall body length
  • May be conveniently added to an existing cylinder design

Thus an SGH10L can also be used in many previously unsolvable applications such as extremely small piston diameters or in the case of cylinders with mechanical end position cushioning.
